Gist: Between Lebanon’s borders and Homs, Syria you will find the mystical castles of Krak des Chevaliers (also known as Qal’at al-Ḥiṣn). This little sleepy castle is a World Heritage site. Stemming from Crusader founding, this has become one of the lesser known touristic destinations in the Middle East. This monument one of the most important preserved medieval military castles in the world.
