We recently took a volunteer trip to Madagascar to do some work with Lemurs. As we worked our ways through the extremities of the spiny forest, we were with people who specialized in finding new species. We came across a spider that one of the researchers had never seen before. It looked more like a small red and white crab on a web to us. But, we’ve always had this special love for Madagascar in our hearts because we have an appreciation for animals and especially the undiscovered ones, which are rife in Madagascar. This time around its a bird that has been named Mentocrex beankaensis. Click here to read more about the new discovery.
